On Thurday, U.S. coach Jurgen Klinsmann releases a roster of largely European-based players ahead of the upcoming matches against Costa Rica and Mexico for the World Cup qualifier. The team will depart from Miami to San Jose on Sept. 3rd, three days ahead of the game against Costa Rica. 
After the match in Costa Rica, the team will head back to the states to face Mexico in a sold-out contest in Columbus, Ohio.
Clint Dempsey, who recently came back to the MLS from the EPL in England, is set to make is 100th appearance for the US men national team. Jozy Altidore, who set the U.S. record of five consecutive scoring matches, will get a chance to add more scoring games to his record.
The U.S. garnered 13 points in 6 qualifying matches and they are currently atop of the CONCACAF standing. USA might secure its ticket to the World Cup before playing Mexico.
