With a secured spot in the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Argentina coach Alejandro Sabella announced a 22-player team for its friendly matches on November 15 against Ecuador at MetLife Stadium before playing Bosnia and Herzegovina three days later in St. Louis, Missouri.
Leonel Messi, who missed qualifying matches against Peru and Uruguay due to injury, will be making his comeback on a team which features fellow strikers Sergio Aguero, Gonzalo Higuain, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Rodrigo Palacio.
Defenders Lucas Orban and Facundo Roncaglia were called for the first time in Argentina’s squad by Sabella.
The matches will serve as warm-up in prelude to the 2014 FIFA World Cup which will be taken place in Brazil.
