Victoire tout en balade pour le Brésil qui n’a fait qu’une bouchée de la Corée du Sud dans sa huitième de finale ce lundi, victoire 4-1, avec un 4-0 en première période. Impressionnant !
Sur le papier c’était le match le moins équilibré, la Corée, grâce à sa victoire sur le Portugal lors du dernier match de groupe, s’était invitée au second tour sur la pointe des pieds face à un client rocambolesque, les cinq fois champions du monde. Le match en soi a confirmé cette différence de niveau.
De retour de blessure, Neymar qui avait manqué les deux derniers matchs de groupe a été aligné d’entrée de jeu. Une titularisation qui a fait du bien à la Seleçao qui a retrouvé plus de fluidité en attaque, et au bout de 13 minutes, c’était déjà 2-0 avec un premier but de Vinicius (7e) et un deuxième de Neymar sur pénalty (13e).
À ce moment du match les Coréens ont dû craindre le pire tant la machine brésilienne semblait bien en marche. Chaque nouvelle attaque des joueurs de Tite a mis en lumière la fébrilité des asiatiques, dépassés par les évènements.
Sans surprise d’autres buts brésiliens ont suivi. À la 29e minute, sur une passe de Thiago Silva qui est devenu plus vieux passeur décisif dans un mondial (38 ans et 74 jours), Richarlison a inscrit son troisième but de la compétition avant que Lucas Paqueta ne creuse l’écart à la 36e, d’une belle reprise de volée.
Tout étant déjà clair, en deuxième période les Auriverde ont diminué la pression, avant de concéder la réduction du score des coéquipiers de Heung-Min Son sur une superbe frappe de Paik Seung-ho à la 76e minute. Le match s’est achevé sur ce score de 4-1 et Tite en a profité pour faire jouer l’intégralité des joueurs sélectionnés.
Le Brésil, en confiance, donne rendez-vous pour les quarts, et ce sera contre la Croatie de Modríc vendredi prochain. Une rencontre qui promet.
