FIFAPro unveiled on Wednesday a list of 20 defenders selected as part of the 55 players shortlisted for the 2013 FIFA FIFPro World XI which will be revealed on January 13, 2014, at FIFA’s Ballon D’Or in Zurich, Switzerland.
A list of 15 midfielders and 15 forwards will be released on December 6, and 9, respectively.
Gianluigi Buffon (Italy, Juventus); Iker Casillas (Spain, Real Madrid CF); Petr Cech (Czech Republic, Chelsea FC); Manuel Neuer (Germany, FC Bayern München), Víctor Valdes (Spain, FC Barcelona) are the five goalkeepers shortlisted this year.
