FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Two masterclass goals from playmakers Saer Sène and Fernando Cardenas were enough to help the New England Revolution picking up their their third win of the season as the home side beat the Colorado Rapids 2-1.
Twenty minutes into the game, Jaime Castrillon would give the visitors the lead from a corner cross from Martin Rivero. New England waste no time to respond when Saer Sène magically tied the game with side volley into the back of the net to score his club-leading third goal of the season.
New England would take the lead when Cardenas added a beautiful goal assisted by Sène six minutes before halftime.
New England kept the advantage throughout the second half to win their second home game of the season.
After three unsuccessful attempt, the Revs picked the perfect time to grab a win because they are headed to Utah on Saturday to face Real Salt Lake, who has been nearly unbeatable at home this season with a 4-1 home record.
