With a pair of friendly matches against Honduras and Chile scheduled respectively for November 16 in Miami (USA) and November 19 in Toronto (Canada), the Brazilian national team head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari unveiled on Friday a list of 22 players for the friendlies.
After a two-year hiatus, Robinho is set to make his comeback with the Seleção after receiving the call from Scolari who showed full confidence on him.
”Robinho practically knew he was going to be called up,’’ Said Scolari.
“He has played in two World Cups. It’s important at this time to give him the opportunity and see how he’s going to fit in and have the spirit we want.”
After missing the last two matches against South Korea and Zambia, Goalkeeper Julio Cesar and defender Thiago Silva will return to the team while Alexandre Pato and Leandro Damiao were left off the list.
Neymar and Dani Alves of FC Barcelona, David Luiz, Ramires and Oscar of Chelsea are also included in the list.
